Here's a couple of stories about things that happened in online environments.
One couple was served legal documents that foreclosed on their house via Facebook. All other ways of contacting them had been exhausted.
Here's a lady who had a Second Life marriage, caught her "husband" cheating, and went to his (real) home and broke his computer.
On the one hand, you want to say "Get a Life!". But on the other, it shows you that there are consequences to your actions, no matter where you are. (I'm also thinking of road rage)
What online communities do you belong (social networks, gaming sites, etc) and have you ever experienced someone acting inappropriately?

The only online community i belong to is facebook and I have seen some pretty nasty fights. Alot of the time its about two girls who are very bitter about something and they go back and forth for a week exchanging some real nasty words. But after a week or so its all better. The funny part is though they dont realize where they are posting it. They usually argue on the "wall" and so everyone can see it and instead of the fight lasting for a week online. It lasts much longer in real life at school.
I too belong to facebook
I too belong to facebook and i agree with Joey. Most of the people who decided to argue they do so on the "wall". They are doing it for the atention. So therefore yes i have expirenced these inappropriet behavoir.
I'm on Facebook (FB) and GameSpot (GS), which is a gaming website/ forum. On FB, people trash each other either on someone else's wall or in photo comments, resulting in literally sometimes 100s of updates for everyone tagged in the picture. On GS, especially since users don't give their real name's, everyone has a very strong opinion, and I've seen people get suspended or even banned from the site.
I love facebook fights because i get to admire the stupidity of some people while they are fighting
