Can you believe we only have 2 more weeks of class together? Let's reflect on the use of Alice in our course. Your honest feedback is very important to me. I'm always looking for ways to improve this course.
So this week before winter break, we will learn more on keyboard and mouse events and have an assignment we do partly together and then you will customize it. (Pretty much what we've been doing so far.) The week after our break, you will be given a very open-ended, longer assignment to create a video game.
With that in mind, please take this poll. Then elaborate in a reply.

I'm totally into this Alice thing, it's way more amazing than QBasic has ever thought about being. It's such an easy program and it's so entertaining. I can see how someone would think that it's not really a programming language because we dont really have to write anything and to me, programming is the act of writing the actual program instead of dragging all this stuff. however, I enjoy this method better than actually writing it.
In my opinion the stuff that you can do with Alice is way more fun than the stuff we did with Qbasic. Working in 3D is way more fun.
I really like Alice a whole lot better than QBasic. I do like that we started with QBasic though, because it was a good intro to loops and if then stuff. It made Alice easy to understand. I think were doing the right amount of Alice though, because if we would have been doing this all semester, our projects would probably be really hard right now.
I agree I feel that Alice has been way more interesting than Qbasic ever was and i also think its alot easier to understand. In Qbasic there are times when you feel like your are typing in lines of code that you cant see or dont understand while in Alice everything you do you can see.
I also think we should have been working with Alice from the beginning. In Alice it is much easier to catch your mistakes because you can easily see any unwanted behavior when you run your world. In QBasic it is possible to write and program and get the wrong answer without ever knowing it is wrong.
I like Alice alot more than Q basic. I did not understand a lot of the things in Q basic but in Alice it is easy to understand. Also Alice is much more interesting because there are 3D graphics that you can control.
I like alice a lot better. It is fun to see what you have accomplished. You put these do in orders and do togethers all onto one program and you press play and watch something you have created. When we worked with Qbasic it was very nit picky, you could have miss typed something and the whole program went wrong. I like alice so much more than Qbasic.
