Spot is a robotic dog created by the Google owned robotics company Boston Dynamics. Boston Dynamics is known for their sturdy, well built robots and Spot is no acceptation. He can climb stairs and navigate rough terrain. On top of that, he can recover from a well placed kick, as shown when employees were asked to kick the robot dog. Many people believe that kicking a dog, robotic or not, is wrong. The animal rights group PETA even has an opinion on the matter saying that "PETA deals with actual animal abuse every day, so we won't lose sleep over this incident. But while its far better to kick a four-legged robot than a real dog, most people find even the idea of such violence inappropriate, as the comments show." What do you think? Is it wrong to kick a robotic dog?

Look Up

Look Up is a video which talks about how technology has consumed everyone's lives.  I do agree with the fact that people seem to care more about facebook friends than their real friends.  I am not saying that technology is a bad thing. However, I think that it is important that we take a moment to step away from it all and appreciate life for what it is.  Be social without social media.

Microsoft HoloLens

Microsoft HoloLens? Are they real? Microsoft has a different vision for the future. One that is more exciting.  Instead of changing the world around the user information is merely on top of the existing environment. This is interesting for many different reasons, one would be that there is nothing like this piece of technology yet, also many different types of these glasses are being created.

Do you think this will be the next big thing?

Archery- Is it a sport?

Some people classify Archery as a sport, while others do not. Some say in order for something to be a sport, you need a certain amount of physical moment that this 'sport' does not provide. However, what do you call moving your arms with heavy weights, a team that comes together just like any other, and the competitiveness? I think it is a sport, but here are some others opinions:

Do YOU think it's a sport? What about figure skating?

Is Hollywood REALLY running out of originality?

Movies are pretty much one of the most highly regarded forms of entertainment, with only video games, books, and TV shows coming close. With taking a couple or several years to make, billions upon billions of dollars are put into them for the only purpose of what they were made to do, entertain. We all practically can name a curtain phrase from one or a character that stands out. A movie, however comes to a point where it gains so much game that there becomes a demand for a continuation or simply reintroduce. Sequels and Remakes respectively come into play. With the recent amount of new sequels or remakes coming out, does any think that this is just simple progression, or over saturation? Discuss in the comments below.

Superbowl Commercial #8

The Superbowl commercials this year fell flat.  But I did like the Coke commercial.  It seemed to be positive and contemporary (and techie).
