A 4th grader wrote an application for the iPhone that allows his little sisters to draw things with their fingers. It's called Doodle Kids, and it's free. This nine year old has been using computers since he was 2 years old and writing programs since he was seven! And you thought you were good with computers.

Wow! That is crazy. A nine year old creating a computer program. That is amazing. It is cool that the kid made a program for his sister and other kids his age. His friends will be playing a program which he created while he gets back to work designing more. That is sweet.
But the application is terrible.
Boring application.
Whoa. This kids got a long life ahead of him. We could use a genius like him in this country... or he could turn into an evil hacker and he could control the world and end life as we know it. Let's stay positive though.
I wouldn't use it, (I don't even WANT an iPhone) but then again, it looks like he did it for his little sisters. And when a 4th grader is a big brother, then the little sisters are obviously pretty young. And the post isn't about him creating a FUN app, it's about a 9-year-old creating an app to begin with. Plus there's the fact that he has been programming since he was 7.
@Henry, well said
I think that this is amazing! I mean some people can't even sign on to a computer and a 4th grader is designing a app for the Iphone! I think he will be the next Bill Gates!
I can do the exact same thing with pencil and paper
Computer Science is one of the higher paying jobs, im sure he will be great at it as long as he keeps on trying!
@ Alex
Yeah, but you didn't invent pencil and paper. Besides, It's harder to pragram than it is to stick lead in wood. trust me on this one.
