Internet Addiction Boot Camp
Young people in China are sent to serious boot camp for being addicted to the internet. Addiction is defined in China as 6+ hours per day for 3+ months. Hmm, does that sound like your Summer Vacation?
Other symptoms many of these kids have is "afraid of people" and "gets upset easily." For that, they face months of boot camp (yes, complete with push ups) where there's no internet, no cellphones, no video games, and no ramen noodles (which seems to be a trend for fast meals while playing online games. Our version of pizza delivery).

My parents showed this to me. I think they expected a reaction other than "At least I don't bitw when I'm kicked off."
I think I went their once, but I used my ninja skills to out ninja the ninjas and escape (and they just laughed when I said I was a ninja, ha!). You have to admit it's a good idea though.
I dont think i could ever sit on a computer for that long. At least not to just sit and play video games. If i sat on the computer for that long it would be doing something productive like making a website or creating art in photoshop... Would i be sent to Bootcamp for that?
Bitw? use spell check
I think thats believable cause theres a rehab for everthing eles.
Brandon you have no ninja skills seriously stay on topic
@ Kate i agree completely. When i am on the internet, i am usually updating my pictures on facebook or enhancing them with picnik or photoshop. I dont think that you would be sent to boot camp for that, but who knows.
Ha, yea China is really strict about their computers. I also hear that south korea is equally as strict. Im not really sure that boot camp will help, true computer gamers that are addicted will usually just come back and play again. It is kind of like sending criminals to jail. Sometimes, it really doesnt work! Once they get out they go and commit another crime.
@ Greg V. Well, why don't the parents just get rid of the computer or computer games. They could also just limit the time their kids use it.
@ Jake Hm most likley because the children get mad at their parents and scream. Something of that sort, well its still not a bad idea they can get them into better shape :)
WOW i am hypacrite
@Charlie,
We generally don't harass people for typos
@GREG / @JAKE
I think, if these kids are really that addicted well, it seems like they should not have had them in the first place. However, if the idea was come up to have them taken away then I think their kids should be better disciplined or learn self control. I'm not usually productive, I can be, but I like to update pictures, play games, chat, you know, do things a kid will do.
"Most likely because the children get mad at their parents and scream" that’s what you said Greg, and I think that's a discipline issue there. These kids should be taught how to behave when they are given correctional advice/punishment.
I never screamed at my parents when I was grounded. I 'took it like a man' so to speak and all it took was a little more order in my childhood life.
@Brandon Wilton
Haha! Yes that is a great idea. That just made my day.
@ Ashlynn Yea so i guess it being a boot camp is a combination of both. Getting rid of the addiction and their attitude.0 It will clean up their attidtude and they will respect their parents.
Whoever spends 6 hours per day on the computer needs to get a life. Maybe try switching from addiction of computers to an addiction of trying to find someone that likes a person who spends their life to looking at a screen.
@Ashlynn, sounds like a call for Super Nanny
@Charlie
You know what I meant. W is right next to E.
@ Charlie -you are a hypocrite. you tell me to stay on topic then you go into an off topic conversation about speeling.
@ Mitch H. -Your welcome, I am here to entertain, not to pass classes.
...and of course I just misspelled spelling. Well I told you I'm not here to pass classes...
It's wrong to send kids to boot camp. Computers is like a tool for fun.I mean if we have done everything we have to do, why get out it. It's not hurt anyone.
