Web + Novel = Wovel
It's an online novel, where each week you read one chapter. You then vote on something that will effect the next chapter, and the author writes it according to the majority vote.
It seems no one reads books anymore because they are spending so much on online. Authors are trying to capitalize on that habit.

That sounds like an interesting idea, and it might get more people to read. I don't think people dislike to read because of reading itself; I think that there aren't enough things worth reading. I know of numerous seniors who normally dispise reading, but as soon as they picked up Epic, a novel about a future in which a video game determines the flow of reality, I was one of the last ones in the class to finish it since they couldn't put it down.
